Wedding in Metz – Sophie and Julien

maries s'embrassant à l'eglise

Here is a sweet and kind wedding. Sophie and Julien chose to keep things simple. The most important thing to the was their union and the presence of their friends and family. Mission accomplished!

The high point of the day was the lovely and  full of emotions religious ceremony held in the morning at the beautiful St Clément Church in Metz. There, there was music, joyous chantings, children assigned to spread “Chirst’s peace” to the guests and an enchanting petal throwing as the newly weds exited the church… Afterwards, the party took place in the countryside, in the middle of sun bathed summer fields. With a “chill in the countryside” wibe, it was a simple and leisurely afternoon. Guests could show off their cooking skills by bringing home made amuse-bouche wich also gave them excuses to talk recipe together! Complete the party with breton dancing and loads of talks and debates (with brides and some guests being philosophers (phd like philosophers) there’s was some level!)

Epicure had better watch out!

Special mentions for the vintage wedding dress which belonged to the bride’s mother and for the basil plants given to the guests as favors.
